My recruiter at Alliance did a fantastic job. He told me about a great opportunity but was honest that the compensation was below what I was earning. I had followed the company over the last few years, and several of my colleagues had left my current organization to join it. I really wanted to interview, but I was hesitant to take a pay cut. He was very transparent and made no promises. but he put me forward for the role. I interviewed, and the recruiter was able to get me a small increase on my base salary plus equity as well. I really appreciated having someone so competent representing me and negotiating for me.
