Identifying the Right Process Improvement Consultant

The Problem

The Chief Accounting Officer from a public healthcare company was initiating an ambitious process improvement and analytics project. Understaffed and with a limited budget, she needed a consultant with diverse experience who could step into any role on the accounting team and execute on her behalf. She turned to Alliance Resource Group to help find the right person.

The Solution

The ARG team huddled to discuss the challenge and quickly came up with an ideal candidate — a consultant with her CPA and Executive MBA and with strong project management experiences for companies ranging in size from $10M to $6B. Her experience in actively managing process improvement projects within payroll and accounts payable were exceptionally attractive to the client. After an initial interview, the consultant was brought on board and got to work.

The Outcome

The consultant quickly gained trust and respect within the team. She’s currently leading a comprehensive process improvement project for the Accounts Payable team and is also assisting the Finance Department with payroll analytics used for forecasting. Both projects have allowed the management team to shift focus to their main responsibilities.

ARG’s consultant has made a big impact on the team, winning the trust and confidence of the company’s executive leadership team. She’s now actively involved in the hiring process for the payroll department and was recently sent flowers from the CAO as a thanks for all that she’s done for the organization.

It was a big win for the client and a great example of how ARG leverages our experience and robust network to solve any challenge that comes our way.
