A Los Angeles headquartered real estate company decided to make a strategic Controller hire in the greater Phoenix area to oversee construction operations. The client’s prior attempts to find a qualified candidate were unsuccessful.

The local Phoenix area recruiters they used found less experienced Controller candidates focused solely on the accounting function. While these junior-level Controllers had the requisite technical knowledge, they lacked the operational experience and deep executive functioning required to lead the company into their high- growth future.
